What your fees cover

You deserve to know exactly what's happening with your money, whether that's seeing exactly what we're investing in on your behalf through our monthly reports or understanding what you're actually getting in exchange for the fees you're charged. When you invest with Kiwi Wealth, here's what your annual management fee is paying for:

  • Supervisor services
  • administration services
  • investment management services
  • registry and custody costs
  • marketing
  • auditing
  • legal
  • printing and postage.

Our fees

Our management fees are based on the fund you're invested in. They're deducted from your investment and will reduce your returns.

The Other Fees (Estimate) is an estimate of fees charged by underlying funds in which the scheme invests. These fees are reflected in the unit price of the underlying funds, and are therefore not deducted directly from your account.

1The annual management fee and annual fund charge figures for the Default Fund are not estimated. An annual fund charge of 0.37% applies to Default Fund investments – unless your Default Fund balance is $1,500 or less, in which case no annual fund charge applies. The minimum charge for the Annual Management Fee component of the annual fund charge is $40. If you invest in more than one fund, this minimum applies pro-rata across those funds. We don't charge a membership fee on top of the Annual Management Fee.

2Our CashPlus fund is closed to new members.

3The Default Conservative fund was named the Default fund prior to 1 December 2021.

4The Default Fund is only available from 1 December 2021.

Our buy/sell spreads

Just the same as you'd pay a small cost when buying or selling shares on your own, the fund also has to pay a small cost to buy or sell assets - this is called the buy/sell spread

2Prior to 1 December 2021, the Default Conservative fund was named the Default fund.
